We started out gathering around the massive Kauri tree, learning about how leaders need to reach for the light for their strength, needs to stand firm and immovable and provide protection for those around them.
We were then taught by Elder Robison how leadership was like a bridge, where they help others get safely where they are going and help them avoid the rough water below.
They were asked what kind of bridge they were!?!
Elder Tonemaipea teaches about the importance of following the spirit!
The peaceful pond is the perfect setting!
Whangarei Falls made a nice representation of the Waters of Mormon as the Elders were taught of Alma's experience.
It was a place you could just imagine the hundreds of people being baptized!
What wonderful warriors you have raised!
They are powerful and a joy to watch, like Whangarei Falls!
Each had time to walk, ponder and set personal and Zone goals!
Elders (back left to right) Vimahi, Temorere and Mariteragi; along with Elder Davis sitting next to President Porter and myself. We said goodbye to these fine Elders on 30 December 2009!
We welcomed in Elder Jeffrey Larsen all by himself the following day from Provo MTC! We will have a picture of him on the blog in February. We also received Elders Preston and Sua new to the mission earlier in the month and will see their pictures in February as well.
